Moses Gabai launched Bowls of Moses in January 2024 to revive and raise awareness of Jewish folk magic in the pre-Islamic Middle East. Beginning with a website, online shop, and Instagram page, Bowls of Moses immediately began selling bowls and other magic objects to family and friends, using incantations from historical bowls and texts like the Sword of Moses.
Journey
Bowls of Moses has grown steadily since, opening an Etsy page, earning local blog coverage, and even releasing educational videos. Always striving to serve the customer, Bowls of Moses has experimented with new colors, bespoke Hebrew incantations, and even historically accurate illustrations.
